The Hutchinson family started towing and servicing vehicles in 1935. Ninety years later the name on the truck is still the name of the family that answers the phone.
Our Story
Started In 1935. Still Here.
A lot has changed in towing since 1935. Trucks got heavier, freight got tighter, and the equipment got a great deal more complicated. What has not changed is that somebody is stranded and wants a straight answer about when help is coming.
We are a fourth-generation, family owned and operated business. That is not a marketing line for us — it is the reason we still answer our own dispatch phone instead of routing it to a call centre in another state, and the reason our operators are people you will see again around Handley.
The Hutchinson family understands the value of family, which is why we treat every customer like one. We also go out of our way to keep our employees local; we have bought houses nearby for team members who did not live close, because a crew that lives in the valley gets to a call faster than one that does not.

Credentials
Certified, Not Just Confident
Heavy recovery is one of the few trades where doing it wrong is genuinely dangerous. We hold the certifications and memberships that go with taking that seriously.
TRAA Certified
Our operators are certified through the Towing and Recovery Association of America. For diesel towing and diesel repair specifically, that certification is the difference between a technician and somebody with a truck.
WV Towing & Recovery Association
Members of the West Virginia Towing and Recovery Association, which keeps us current on state requirements, safety practice and the standards this industry sets for itself.
DOT Inspection Facility
We perform DOT inspections and the repairs needed to pass them, so a compliance problem does not have to become two separate appointments at two separate shops.
